Childminder vs. crib

Hello everybody,

our job situation will probably require in August that we let our son mьssen foreign serve part-time. He will then be a good year old.

A nursery place wдre there, however, does not see where the staffing situation in my view so super: 1 teacher comes in 5 children. Our limit was 1: 4 - MAXIMUM!

Now I liebдugel as a biЯchen with a childminder, and there's none in sight. Wдre advantage in my view, but that most Tagesmьtter indeed serve a maximum of 3 children, which I think is better.

My son is indeed a confident bully who has nothing and no one fear, but on the other hand, he also kenntґ just nothing auЯer mom and dad. AuЯerdem he is very cuddly, so I wьrde find a more direct care actually better.

So, now your experience: How did you do that? How are from your point of view, the advantages and disadvantages of care services? How are your children so come clear?

Hello,
my daughter (recently 3) goes to the childminder since since 1.5. She is now the дlteste child there and comes in the fall to kindergarten.
I have also filed in various cribs, but I was too spдt off, so we went to a childminder "devices"We have found informed about the youth office and it was then "love at first sight" from both sides. There are still three other children there (so 4 total) and my daughter fьhlt very well there and I'm very glьcklich with Lцsung.

When I then looked at me some cribs, I've always had a queasy Gefьhl it. I found the idea very difficult that there were so many children and so few teachers. My daughter is such a cuddly but also very confident. At the end I was very happy that my daughter came into the familiдre Atmosphдre a day care service.

Our childminder is quite flexible for Glьck and I can replace the shelf even days (daughter goes three full days), or even a week only 2 days, nдchste weeks 4 days ago. But that's not always the case and we had a lot Glьck. Or if I only can even come half an hour spдter that's not a problem. A disadvantage is the day care but also when the childminder is sick yourself, or her daughter. Then although there is a spare support (also from social services), but our Tamu had last fall swine flu, and upon was a week sick. And since our daughter was not allowed in the substitute care, due to possible contagion. That is already the advantage of a crib if an employee is sick, this is not the end.

But I wьrde the childminder clearly prefer. Since it is natьrlich very important to find the right thing and to have a good rapport. We have, as I said, had enormous Glьck.

All the best!

How are your children so come clear? Our Junior came with 6 months to childminder, simply because the crib does not offer flexible hours or not ьberienstimmt with my working hours.

Benefits childminder:

- possibly fewer children (and those who have z.T. also five children plus their own)

- "persцnlichere" and often more individualized care

- familiдrere environment

- possibly more flexible than crib

- takes possibly a sick child

Disadvantages childminder:

- no "Ьberwachung"

- can get sick

- usually more expensive

- only a caregiver

Benefits crib:

- often gьnstiger

- Ьberwachung the caregivers by superiors

- no downtime due to illness

- fixe SchlieЯzeiten

- vielfдltigere offers for children

- frьhere Gewцhnung in group setting

disadvantages crib:

- possibly worse Betreungsschlьssel

- sick child can not go

- rigid times

- grцЯere facility

not fдllt more to me now.

With a year it was easier to let betreuuen in a private household by a person the little closed for me. With us Tamu max MUST BE betreuuen five children. With two I like hдtte had a Kita place because as more Spielmцglichkeiten and other Fцrdermцglichkeiten. Have no place receive was happy when I have a hдtte me a tree branch. My child is in October 2 and we have received 16 rejection today.

From 3 also have been ok wдre.

We decided for a crib (daughter went from 9 months to).

The main reason was that I was there 50 weeks a year solid support and even if the primary educators fails, always plenty of her well-known people are there.

Since we live far from family, would have in Tamu downtime just one of us must step in and that's just not practical.

However, for us there is a Betreuungsschluessel of 1: 3, 1: 5 is possible only after two years.

Generally I think has learned a lot in the manger and it is good for her, especially since she is an only child and remains daughter. In a Tamu I would have have to very careful about what she does with the children if she maintains many contacts with toddler groups etc.

Our daughter has come to the childminder at 15 months. However, we have changed recently because it did not work out that way. The second now is perfect!
I hдtte rather have had a nursery place, but we got simply no.

As a childminder or a crib teacher get along with 3 or 4 or 5 children and bypasses, is a type of question has nothing to do with where she works. You can kiss even with 5 children.
And in the manger's are indeed usually also 2 carers closed for 10 children. If there times one is kьmmern intensely a child muЯ, the other is closed for the other children still there. In the childminder then all the other children mьssen wait.

The disadvantages of a childminder are daЯ etc. You stand there for vacation, sick without care and that somehow regulate muЯt. Sometimes comes in the morning 6:30 a call daЯ you today can not be taken care your child.

I wьrde the I see it today but especially for such small children not on purely practical moor. Not just any case. The most important thing, you daЯ your child in good hands weiЯt and daЯ you clearly come with the carers - whether teacher or childminder. Look at the crib but educators. If you like the and loving and affectionate find, then everything is fine.

Hello dear parents
we have "officially" from 1 April a TaMu PLatz, am glad that we got a ьberhaupt Betreunungsplatz, many children go there empty-handed,
Our dwarf is nearly 1.5 and slowly it is closed for him, he just needs the contact with peers and indeed regelmдssig and not just once a week by toddlers group, which I have called for this reason themselves into life ...
but I muЯ to admit that I have a little bit of jitters, our little man is not talking really so I rely always on muЯ what the Tamu me / erzдhlt us, but the same problem gдbe it in a manger probably,
my grцЯtes problem, however, is that no tamus "real" Training need our comes from the catering ... I think a manger has much more Mцglichkeiten (pдdagogisch, Beschдftigung the babies) as a Tamu, the crib is flexible (lдngere Цffnungszeiten) since there are several supervisors, our Tamu works of 7 -16 am and we have been told very forcefully that there is NO exception, currently I wьrde our son like to look after seven hours, but muЯ take a 9-11 hours and pay (no matter how long / often I him hinbringe) because all Tamu offer only those crib 9-11 and 9-11 hours Tamu cost the same with us ...
probably we just kцnnen only hope and just twice as good to look in nдchster time for our little ones, that he will be glьcklich in its new environment in order to know

How are your children so come clear? We had even one day Child closed for half a year, the boy was a year when he came to us, as old as our daughter. After 6 months, we have the whole then ended and our daughter is in the manger, because I had a great job offer I could not refuse. Now I mцchte me not anmaЯen to be as good as other Tagesmьtter, but after we tried it, the concept is no longer ьberzeugt me really. The regular routine, and the group experience can the children in private surroundings do not offer as in a manger, unless you really own Rдume closed for the day children. Sure, it also depends on which children, parents and educators are in the group, but I wьrde to decide closed for the crib again. Our daughter could eat with two with knife and fork, undress alone and the kids have collectively donated their pacifier Santa Claus. After a year of kindergarten, our daughter still asks sometimes by their teachers and I'm still sad sometimes that we are no longer there.

Hope you find a good spot,
many GrьЯe

Hello everybody,

So I have given me two Tagesmьtter by the Office is looking on and a recommendation. The first recommended daily mother had ne old musty apartment, the 2nd a small viell. 5 qadratmeter divided penned space (weiЯ not know how to call it otherwise) and the last two own small children and three grцЯere children. I can think of nowhere that my child wдre been well looked after and gefцrdert. Dafьr simply lack the training. The whole lдuft wдhrend normal daily routine next to her. For I have no fear. These were my experiences here. We unfortunately do not just live in the best area. That's why I wьrde suggest you watch the Tagesmьtter (as many as mцglich) and the Kigas and then where you fьhlst you better decide. You have received a lot of advice. You'll also quickly notice of the reaction of your child if he was fьhlt himself to he muЯ not kцnnen talk.
I wьnsch you very much Glьck.
